Helping create a brighter future for youth in transition.

The Goal

THE FUTURE OF OUR COMMUNITY DEPENDS ON YOU.

We have a dream! Monai Village has determined a need in our community.

Our goal is to build a facility that is an affordable living community where youth in transition can receive support, vocational training, community, and life skills training. This will help prevent homelessness and ensures youths have access to basic needs services, increasing their chances of success and mental stability.

WHAT WE NEED & HOW IT WORKS:

To make this into a reality, we need to be able to purchase 6-10 acres of land. The ultimate goal is to house our youth in a 40 unit, fourplex community.

We have designed an interim program that will house our youths in 6-12 studio apartments in a community complex which will allow them to learn accountability, independence, and the responsibility of paying a portion of the rent and utilities while building their credit and empowering them to become independent. The projected cost is $1500/month/youth.

Youths will be required to have an education plan (college or trade school) to ensure they understand their strengths and passions and formulate obtainable goals. Youths will learn the reality of navigating the post-secondary education system to stay on track academically while learning to balance financial responsibility to benefit from available opportunities and what it means to their future.

While housed at our facility, they will learn how to network and present themselves professionally in an adult setting.
